The census bureau's bu-reau's announcement today save the state a total of 986,376 Inhabitants. Colorado's rate of growth iu the last idecadfl1 was 17.6 per cent, compared with 48.0 per cent Id the previous ten years. GREW FAST FROM 1900. Comparison of the rates of Increase .for the state with those for the United Unit-ed Statess hows that the population of jihe state increased more rapidly than that for the country as a whol- during every decade from 1870 to 1910. The difference between the two rates was largest for the decude 1870-80, when ill. rate of Increase for the state was nearly thirteen times that for th? United States. During the next decade.
