Show GOTHAM SCOUTS VISIT IN OGDEN Party of Five Tell of Stage Robbing Experience Near Yosemite Park Five Boy Scnuis, selected upon their records and accomplishments from more than 12.000 scouts of Great' or New York, arc in Ogden today, returning re-turning to the east from a two months' sightseeing trip in which they visited practically every state in the union and went through five national parks. The boys are fine specimens of American ! manhood nnd attracted much attention j in Ogden this morning as they walked i about ihe street seeing the sights. One of the most exciting experiences Jof their entire trip took place when Ihe bo s were on their way to Yosemite Yose-mite national park in a stage coach last month, they said today. A masked bandit suddenly appeared in the roadway road-way and ordered them to throw up their hands. The stage driver, how ever, explained this his passengers were Boy Scouts and the robber lmme diately told the boys to be at case and left them unmolested However, the bandit robbed the past tigers of I stages following and securer! betw een $300 and $400 in cash. The stage coach containing the bows was compelled to wait while (he bandit robbed the following fol-lowing coaches and they witnessed the entire affair. They were later allowed to drive on by the robber In the car with the scouts was a man who had several hundreds of dollars dol-lars in cash in his pockets, hut he was also allowed to go unmolested, the j boys said. |
