Show SPEAKERS TELL OF W PLANS Building Abandoned for Win-' Win-' ter; Financial Campaign to I Be Pushed .J A speaking campaign in behalf of I the Weber College gymnasium was conducted in Weber county yesterday afternoon and Ogden City last night When prominent church officials and .educators from all parts of the state I delivered addresses dealing with tho subject. The addresses were delivered at the sacrament meetings m all the wards of the three stakes before large i ong legations The speakers told of the physical and moral benefits ro be derived, especially es-pecially by the young people, from , sach an Institution and urged support for tho gymnasium. Prom reports received, the plan to build the gymnasium gym-nasium will be supported by the entire church membership in tho city and county. Ward bishops who have been conducting con-ducting a drive for contributions to the building fund will redouble their efforts to hnvc their appropriations! collected at an early date. It is not anticipated that they will encounter any difficulties, it being reported that tin r'pcakcru v.ere successful in convincing con-vincing the people that the gymnasium' 1.5 an urgent necessity and not a lux-, ury for the community. Construction work was comrflencedJ several weeks ago on the foundation Of the building which will be erected, on Twcnty-fitth street near Jefferson avenue.
