Show UMPI0ESII1 DIES SI HOI OF Mr. Mary R. Avery Jenkins, one of Utah s best known pioneers and an early resident of Salt Lake, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. U. Eldredge, Jr., 302 Twenty-eighth rtreet, this city,' shortly before 1 o'clock this morning. Death was due to Infirmities incidental to old age. j She was the wife or the late Bishof) Thomas Jenkins of Salt Lake. j Mrs. Jenkins was born in .Madison 1 county, New York, in 1S35, emigrat-! ing to Utah across the plains in Sep-1 lemher, 1S55. and had since been a ! resident of the capital city. J She is survived by two daughters, J Mrs. J. U. Eldredge, Jr., of Ogden, , anil Mrs. Sophia Aubrey of Salt Lake, 1 and two sons, Thomas II. and C. F. 1 Jenkins of Salt T,.ake. She was the ! mother of ten children, four of whom . mrvive. together with twenty-live irandchMdren and twenty-five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Salt Lake. |
