Show CHICAGO GRAIN J CHICAGO, Feb. 13 Speculative selling sell-ing weakened the corn market today after a little show of strength iu prices at the opening. Initial upturns were associated with tho fact that recoipts here proved to be smaller than had been looked for. Subsequent selling pressure was based largely on depression depres-sion in the stock market. Opening quotations, quo-tations, which ranged from lc off to ic advance, with May $1.30 to 1.-3H4, 1.-3H4, and July $1.28 to 1.28, wero foiiowed by material setbacks all around. Oats were governed by the changes in corn. After opening a shade to Vc higher, including May at 7804 to 79c, the market underwent a moderate sag. Provisions averaged lower with grain and hogs. Trade was light Reports of big purchasing of rye-for rye-for the seaboard led afterward to a sharp upturn, which was emphasized by continuance of farmers' refusal to I soli corn. The close was nervous, 1 to 2c net higher with May 6L'k to 1.33 anu Jiuy i.za-i to 1.30. Rallies in provisions which took place in the later dealings were ascribed as-cribed to a better cash demand for I meats. ! CHICAGO QUOTATIONS. I CHICAGO, Feb. 13.
