Standish, Republican candidate can-didate for Justice of the Peace, was born and raised in Salt Lake City. He was educated in the private schools which was the only educational education-al channel at that time; and later graduated from the Morgan Academy. Acad-emy. He came to Bingham in the eaily days of the Camp to operate a sawmill, saw-mill, and has been a resident here almost al-most continuously since that time. He has been engaged in many business enterprises since ISMi; he has been at the head of a number of successful business enturpi isos and lorganized several important companies has been an active political worker in the Republican party since the division di-vision on paity lines, and has held' many public offices. lie was elected 1 School Trustee of the Bingham Dis-' tict for scVeial years and was elect-! ed County Commissioner cf Salt Lake j County and served as such during the' years of 1!03 and 1904. Elected .State Senator and served during 1921 to 1925. He is a prominent member of the Knights of Pythias, having passed through all of the chairs of the Grand Lodge and represented the State in the Supreme Lodge from 1912 to 191G, also a prominent Odd Fellow; having attained the highest position in Odd-fellowship Odd-fellowship and served as representative representa-tive to the Soverign Grand Lodge in 1908-1903. He has for some time past held the position of Health Commissioner for the tenth precinct; he has always been a respected citizen, working for the best interests of the State and the Community in which he lives, and stands for a square deal to all.
