Show ! Great Area for Slate j Recreation Spot Planned MISSOULA. Mont., March 7. A 'great quadrangle of Montana, wlthj Missoula, Kallspell, Great Fall and' Helena at its four corners is being planned as the premier recreation spol not only of this state, but of the entire northwest, according to plans being prepared by the forest service headquarters head-quarters here. ' The service is making a detail map of the region, and of the roads which enter into it. Within the quadrangle, which is accessible ac-cessible from all directions, are Flathead Flat-head lake, Swan lake, Seeley lake, Salmon lake, the south fork of the Flathead river, the main range of tho j Rock mountains, the Mission mountains, moun-tains, which are" regarded as the great-1 est scenic range in the northwest: the Blackfoot river and innumerable! points of great historic Interest. The Yellowstone trail passes through the center of the area, while the fores', service has under construction a number num-ber of roads leading to and within It |
