Show PHIZES OFFERED LONG DISTANCE HUBS The long list of athletes who will en ter the long distance race from North Ocden to Ogden on Armistice day will he well rewarded for their efforts. Browning Brothers donated a large Silver Imini; cup for the first prize lo-day lo-day and it is expected that every man that enters will receive a suitable prize for his showing. Members, of the committee will place a special prize tor a new slate record for that distance. This prize will be awarded the fellow who wins, together to-gether with the first prize, providing he breaks the present state record of 27 minutes and 25 seconds made al Salt Lake City in 1915 by Albert War den and Ted Johnson who ran a dead heat In a championship affair. Other suitable prizes will be awarded award-ed by other merchants of Ogden and lit is expected that the race will be the first of a number that will be established estab-lished here in coming years |
