Show LIVESTOCK SHOW ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED AND EARLY ENTRIES ALREADY ASSURE ITS SUCCESS All financial arrangements have j Livestock show, and early entries al ready assure Its success The exh bif will be held at Ogden, Utah, n January Jan-uary s. 9, and 10. Evans Of the Weber club, Og den, assistant secretary of the Og deu Livestock show, reports inquiries regarding plans, rules and prizes as coming in from all parts of the inter mountain section. This is to be expected, ex-pected, considering the scope of 'he promised show and Ogden's location as the center of a great livestock sec tion. Livestock men all over the west arc showing early appreciation of the opportunity op-portunity to participate, and by their announced plans to place worthy exhibits ex-hibits are proving a lively Interest in the upbuilding of this great Indusiry A noteworthy section of the rules for the show is one stating that all exhibits ex-hibits must have merit. Breeding quality and good appearance are demanded, de-manded, as even animals of registered breeding may lack tome point of development, de-velopment, which fact bars them from exhibition. Such animals will be disqualified dis-qualified and removed from the buildings, build-ings, and exhibitors are requested to I uso judgment and care in entering their stock. Judges are instructed to award prizes accirding to the way they themselves would select nnlrrals for breeding purposes and the rigid rules regarding their selections make collusion or fraud in the awards practically prac-tically impossible In addition to the handsome prizes offered by the committees in charge f arrangements, several spei ial prizes have her n hung tip. such as one of $5u offered bj Mr. Van Meter of Ogden, for the grand champion steer of 'be Show and one for a similar amount posted by H. Another sontest which "ill attract at-tract much Interest Is the "student's livestock judging," open to anv agri cultural college n the United States, to be represented by a .earn of five students. Handsome prizes are f I fered for this event also. Individual judging contests by boy under 18 have been arranged; and other events 'have been planned Mch will keep In teres! alive throughout the show.
