"Commercial Club, Salt Lake Ity Utah: Gentlemen: With the approval of the board of directors of the Weber We-ber rlub and of the Ogdeil Publicity bureau. I send you cordial greetings from the people of Ogden, and our best wishes for your continued success and prosperity "I am forwardine this by United States army airplane, through the courtesy of Lieutenant Nelson, with Ensipn Roscoe C. C,w1111am: one of our members, as special messenger. Made Wonderful Record "This airplane, with Lieutenant Nelson Nel-son as its pilot, recently made the wonderful record under favoring winds, r.f traversing the distance from over Salt Lake City to over Ogden in the space of eleen minutes. 'This prompts me to suggest that the inventive genius of America and the resourcefulness and energy of its business interests, as well as the skill and the loyalty of its workers, has made such stride? towards the annihilation annihi-lation of distance, that communities formerly considered as widely separated, separat-ed, are now as one. "Therefore, things that favorably effect one city cannot but help have a similar Influence on the other, and we may regard our interest? as mutual. With this in view, we hope Tor your continued cooperation and good feel , mg, to the end that our united efforts imay keep pace with the great upbuild- ing of our stale and nation "Very truly yours, I (Signed "WARREN L. WATTIS. J "President. Weber club and Ogden Publicity Bureau." |
