Show Hovlsvlll Amusement Hall. Some years ago the people of lloyta-ville lloyta-ville undertook to build a dancing and amusement hall. Tbe proposition was not pushed very hard and Interest died out. A lew weekt ago new committees were appointed and they determined to make a strong effort to eo mplete the building. They arranged their plant, and It now lookt at though the building will be completed in a few weekt at it it half built now. The committee adopted a novel way of raiting meant with which to build the structure, which proved quite satisfactory. satisfac-tory. They decided to give a carnival and liir and have a queen to rule. A number ol lloytsvllle't fair maidt were nominated and voted fur fur queen, but on Wednesday night when the contest closed tbe fight wat between Mist Annie Malii and Mitt Elbe" Uobton. The friends of both were determined that their favorite ahould be elected, and spent! great deal of money, which of of course went to tbe building fund. The latter lady wat the winner. At a dance given Friday sight the queen wnt crowned crow-ned by David Neff, and the wat given tht key! of the town until the carnival was over. Tbt carnival wat held Saturday, and then wot a good time for everybody. People who did not have money to donate do-nate to the building fund gave a calf, pig, cbickens, burse or anything salable. Eierytbing was auctioned off and quite a nest tutu wat raised from the sales. Hi-sides there were a great many articles of value and nse donated by the ladies, wnicn were sold. A dance was given lor the children and the day wasa memorable mem-orable one in Hoytsville. The new hall will be about UOiwO feet, not including u large stage and two dressing dress-ing rooms. A first-class maple floor will be put in for dancing purpose! ; it will be limited by gae and healed by a fur-nsot- When completed it will be one ol tht best dancing halls In tbe State, and it is something that Hoytsville has needed for many years.
