RED CROSS SPENDS WEEK IN OODEN AUDITING LOCAL CHAPTER BOOKS The national auditor for the American Ameri-can Red CrOSS has been in c I n thii week on his yearly 'our through the Red Cross chapter auditing the books,, accounts and expenditures i the chap ters for the past year The local chapter chap-ter oannot spend any money fur purposes pur-poses other than those designated by the national headquarters. Each pay-! ment must be on a duplicate coucherl and these vouchers must tally with the bank account. Each voucher must Btate clearl for what purpose the paymenl la made. Mr BOwen, ih accountant ac-countant oi the local chaptt r, was com-1 pllmented hichly on the condition of the Ogden books The local chapter also has an audit of the treasure and' accountant's books each year T la year the audit was made two weeks ago by a committee of three assistant! cashiers of Ogden banks, Mr. Vicks of I the Pingree bank beuiK chairman. There are nine divisions under which the moneys of the Red Cross arc cla silicd as to expenditures and the audit this week by the national auditor showed the fdllowing expenditures expendi-tures foi the complete year.
