Barrow, manager of the Boston American league baseball club, who is in St. Louis, that he had closed a deal wi'h ithe Wichita. Kan., club of the Western league for Joe Wllholt. who leads that league in batting. In addition to cash payment for Wllholt. Musser. a pitcher, had b.v r, loaned to th' Wlcn Ita club for the rest of the Western season. Wllholt will report in Boston on September 15. Manager Barrow I also announced that Pitcher Bill Jamns had been released to the Chicaco American league club on a waiver I claim. WICHITA, Kan.. Aug. 18 Joseph 'wilholt, released today to the Boston Americans, late In July broke the record rec-ord for number of consoruli- games In which a player had made a safe hit and has continued the record all the 'month. With the second game yesterday yester-day at St. Joseph he completed his sixty -seventh game of consecutive hits.
