Show CURFEW LAW MOST BE ENFORCED II THE FUTURE ' Curfew laws of Ogden must be enforced en-forced in the future, according to Commissioner Com-missioner Miles L. Jones. Several complaints have been received by the 'commissioners relative to the curfew I laws and the following letter front Commissioner Jones to Chief of Police Po-lice Drowning gives one an idea of the j policy which will be followed in tne future: 'October 28. 1919. '"Dear Sir: A committee of promi-jnent promi-jnent ladies called upon the commissioners commis-sioners yesterday, to ask that the law in regard to delinquency of children, or in other words, the Curfew law. be "I am heartily in accord with this i movement, and I wish you would tn-I tn-I struct all officers to sec that Sections 519 and 520, Revised Ordinances of Ogden City, are enforced, and that nil children under sixteen (16) years of age are kept off the streets, alleys or vacant lots, after nine (9) o'clock, or the sounding of th curfew "There is no reasonable excuse for children being out without a guardian (after 9 o'clock, and should it become 'necessary to prosecute offenders in 'order to enforce this law, I would advise ad-vise thai action be brought against the 1 parents or guardians, as the offense lis a misdemeanor, and as provided in .Section 520, they are liable for such I delinquency, and In case of failure to I locate parents or guardians, then the children should be turned over to t.he Juvenile authorities "Respectfully.
