More than one and ono half million dollars havo been spent by the Camp Lewis soldiers in the eight months post exchanges havo been In operation here up to May 1. The profits from the exchanges are divided among the various companies of tho regiment according to the strength of tho companies and goes into mess funds. Some of the companies compa-nies use their mess funds to purchase comforts for their assembly halls and it is from the exchanges that money has been derived for many of the pool tables In camp. The mess funds also will be uBed to add to the menus when tho men reach tho other side. |
