With more than 1000 delegates attending, the fifth annual convention of the National Na-tional Foreign Trade council began here today. The importance of the council as "a war clearing house " has been general-lj general-lj recognized and leaders of industry and finance are here from ever section sec-tion of the country With them are many international export experts and ?pecial representatives from America's allied nations. China and Latin-American countries Government experts will tell of plans for the extension of foreign commerce following the war. James A. Farrell, president of the T'nited States Steel corporation and chairman of the National Foreign Trade council said today that the business of winning the war would be t-he first consideration of the conven- j tion. i |
