Show MEYSH THEIR RESPECTS j . 1 A joint session of Departments 1 and 2 of district court, assembled this morning, presided over by the Judges A. W. Ageo and A. E. Pratt, and at which were present the lawyers of Ogden Og-den called together to do honor to the memory of Supreme Judge W. W. Mc-Carty, Mc-Carty, late a member of the bench of the supreme court of the slate of Utah. Speaking of the resolution doing honor hon-or to the memory of a good man whose sense of justice was ever active, and whose common sense, and sterling honesty hon-esty were the chiefest characteristics of a sterling character, were Attorneys Halverson, Wade Johnson, Kimball Hollingsworth, Sneddon and Chez. -The keynote of the address was a fine tribute to a man whose opportunities opportuni-ties of higher education had been small, but whose incandescent honesty, great force of personal character and tireless ambition brought him the respect re-spect of thousands of Utah's residents, and their electing of him to a place on the highest legal eminence of tho state. Attorney Hollingsworth begged leave of the court to compose a brief eulogy o the deceased judge which might be Included in tho record of the morning's proceedings. oo |
