Tapioca Pudding Wash tapioca and soak it in a quart of milk for two hours, sotting it on the back of the stove to soak. Beat up three eggs and one cup sugar together, saving whites for a meringue If liked. Melt a teaspoon tea-spoon of butter, add a little salt and stir into milk, then add egg and syrup. Bake one-half hour, or until it is nicely browned on top. j Soupbone Dinner Buy a 25c soup-bone, soup-bone, put it on early in cold water, let it cook until real tender, then strain the broth (about three quarts) and divide it Ono part cook with potatoes, po-tatoes, the other part with noodles made with one egg and two tablespoons table-spoons milk or water. The meat cut from the bone, using both fat and lean; run through food grinder, mix with one egg, two or threo slices of stile bread soaked in warm water and squeezed out, a llttlo onion, salt and pepper. Make into hamburgers and fry. This, with some fried or stewed apples, bread, butter and good coffee, makes a good meal. |
