Tsraelson of Fourth street, that j Smith allows his horses to wander at I largo about the neighborhood and replenish re-plenish their appetites from off the (neighbors' lawns and in particular that S on Sunday morning December 1 a cer- tain grayish brown horse belonging to j' Smith was busy in this way on Ist'ael-eon's Ist'ael-eon's lawn. Testimony was offered by Israolson, his wife and daughter and a neighbor ? named Anderson confirming the gener-- gener-- al nuisance complained of. Smith conducted his own case and displayed leisure hour acquaintance , with legal ways and methods by nl- tempting to prove that the case was worthy of dismissal because the witnesses wit-nesses had referred to a mare as a ' horse. j ; Judge Roberts was impressed with 1 the testimony, offered and ordered a ' fine of $10 or ton days in the city jail.
