Show oo SOLDIERS TO BE ' AIDED II IRK' oALi r lakk, Dec. 12 Fifteen states were represented at a convention conven-tion of state directors of the United States employment service, hold in Denver last Sunday, according to P. J. Moran. local labor director, who returned re-turned to Salt Lake yesterday aftor attending the big meeting. Questions pertaining to the placing of mustered -out men in positions were discussed. Besides Utah, the states represented were: Arizona, Colorado, California, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Washington, Wyoming. Field Director F. A. Sll-cox, Sll-cox, formerly supervisor of tho Missoula Mis-soula national forest reserve at Missoula, Mis-soula, now of Washington, presided over the meetings of the day. Problems expected to confront forces at work on the constructive program were given thorough study, and a number of vital features, all designed de-signed for the advantage of the returning return-ing soldiers, were accepted for adoption adop-tion in the general reconstruction policy. pol-icy. Principal among these features was a plan which provides for assistance assis-tance by all army camp war workers, who are to bo officially asked to coordinate co-ordinate their strength with the councils coun-cils of defense and the United States employment service. Along the linos of co-operation by every available employing agency, thi work of supplying returned soldiers with employment must proceed, and it was with a program in mind that contemplates the enlistment of all these forces for this -'particular purpose pur-pose that the Denver convention adjourned. ad-journed.
