Show SPECIAL INDUCTION OFFICE 1 . IS TO OPEN AT COURT HOUSE FOR THE WAR SCHOOL AT LOGAN I Tho Utah Agricultural collego has decided to open special induction offices of-fices in Ogden to afford men of thi3 vicinity every opportunity possible to securo admission to the Students' Army Training corps established at the institution, according to an announcement an-nouncement just niado by Captain Henry D. Moylo of tho S. A. T. C. unit at Logan. These offices will be opened nt fho fnnnfv fnnrt linnan nn Mnndnv. Tuesday and Wednesday, next D. S. Romney, a member of the staff of tho S. A. T. C, will be in charge of induction in-duction proceedings. As the college can accept only a limited lim-ited number of men into its S. A. T. C. unit it is very Important that all who desire induction appear in person at the court house early on Monday. Upon induction, tho mon will bo sent to the Utah Agricultural college, at Logan, where they will be housed, clothed and fed at government expense ex-pense and receive ?30 a month' pay. In many cases, men who desire to take advantage of the excellent opportunities opportunit-ies offered by Induction into tho S. A. T. C. aro hestitatlng because of pressing press-ing farm duties. However, the college is granting agricultural furloughs with great liberality in order that the crops may be harvested properly. The men will receive training as auto mechanics, chauffeurs, radio operators, op-erators, machinists, blacksmiths, horseshoers, concrete workers, wagoners, wagon-ers, surveyors, topographical draughtsmen, draughts-men, or radio telephone electricians. To be qualified for induction into one of the above lines, with, the exception of radio telephone electricians where different qualifications prevail, a man must bo nineteen years of age or over, a registrant of September 12 or in a deferred classification if a registrant of some prior date, and possess a grammar school education or its equivalent To be eligible for training as a telephone electrician, a man must be 19 years of age or over, a registrant of September 12 or in a deferred classification class-ification if a registrant of some other date, and possess seven and one half units of High school credit . Any man who secures induction Into tho S. A. T.
