Show WAGE INCREASES FOR RAILROAD MEN WASHINGTON, April 17 The railroad rail-road wage commission has completed its recommendations for wage increases in-creases for employes and a report will be submitted to Director-General Mc- I Adoo upon his return from a Liberty loan speaking tour in the west. Nothing was made known as to the amount of the increases to be given, although it has been said that employes em-ployes now receiving small pay will be given the largest advances. The commission began its work January 21. The employes salaries in the scale of increases regardless of union or non-union affiliations have been treated treat-ed alike Extensive hearings w ere held in addition to investigation made by experts. The revision is the most extensive ex-tensive ever undertaken, affecting approximately ap-proximately two million persons. |
