Show oo BMKEMI KILLED II ILLS, B. Charles Ek, a Southern Pacific freight brakeman who resided at the Broom hotel in Ogden,. was killed Instantly In-stantly early Monday morning near Fenelon, Nevada, a small station a short distance cast of Wells. The manner in which the accident was caused Is not known, but it is believed that he lost his balance as ho was riding on top of the freight train and fell between the cars. This theory Is supported by the fact that his lantern was found hanging on tho bumpers between be-tween two cars. The body was badly mangled about the head and right arm where the wheels had passed over it. It was taken to Elko to be prepared for burial, Ek, who was 35 years of age, was also a miner by profession, having worked in various parts of the country as a miner, once for Captain O. II.
