Show ou British Situation Summed Up by French Paper PARIS, Oct. 15 Summing up the situation on the British front the Echo de Paris says that Douai virtually has been taken, that Valenciennes is threatened and Dcnan only a few kilometers kilo-meters distant. To give an idea of the German losses in Champagne the Petit Parls-lenne, Parls-lenne, offers the statement of a German Ger-man prisoner who said that the -106th infantry regiment while engaged in battle on October 1 was decimated. The companies in two battalions, according ac-cording to the prisoner were reduced to thirty men and two other supporting support-ing battalions suffered heavily from artillery and airplanes. Despite these losses the prisoner says, the regiment was ordered to counter-attack. |
