Show oo GENERAL ORDERS TO RED CROSS Members Warned Against Criticizing Policies or Efforts of American Government. PARIS, June 24.-The Red Cross Bulletin prints number of recent general orders. In one, .Major James H. Perkins commissioner for the Red Cross in France, warns members who returned to Paris from the front against talking about the conditions there or naming places oceupicd. Another warns against "criticising to others or among themselves the policies or efforts of the American government, the American expedition-j-ary forces or our own organization." Criticisms or suggestions of the Red Cross, it is added, should be promptly made to the proper ollicials. An order from the assistant provost marshal printed in the Bulletin says field clerks, members of the Young Men's Christian association, the Salvation Sal-vation Army, the Knights of Columbus and of the American Red Cross, who are not commissioned officers, are not i permitted to wear the Sam Brown belt. nr |
