Show i ' mm FARMER VOM OF PICKPOCKETS WHO II ' $!I5 FROM IS POCKETS IOne hundred and fifteen dollar?, money intended for taxes on his farm at Hooper, was taken this morning from pocket of J. W. Byiugton of that town, by two clever pickpockets. The farmer was standing in the Ogden State bank, preparing a deposit slip i at a desk. He kept out the $115 from his deposits, intending to pay his tax less, and shoved the money into his trousers pocket while he finished the bank business. He turned to the window, win-dow, completed bis business and then discovered that he had lost the money. An alarm was spread. Upon investigation it was learned that two young men had seen two smartly dressed men brush up against i the farmer after he had placed the money In his pocket and then quickly leave the bank. They could not give a good description of the strangers, but 'sheriff's deputies immediately started to hunt for the pair. It was characterized character-ized as a case of the "rush act" in every detail. The farmer had no remembrance re-membrance of the men jostling him, as they are said to have done the trick in such a clever manner that they did not disturb him as he was pre-; pre-; paring his deposit slip, i An uncommon anglo of the case was . that Deputies William Brown and Rich-. Rich-. ard Wootton entered the bank just a , few seconds after the robbery, knowing, know-ing, however, nothing about what had 1 transpired.
