Show CLUB City Federation of Women's Clubs. The City Federation of Women's clubs will meet at the Maids and Ma irons club Monday, April 8. at ". p. m A large attendance is desired I Sego Lily Thimble Club The Sego Lily Thimble club met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Maqcie Somerville on Grant avenue. A very delightful afternoon was spent in needlework and a discussion of current cur-rent events. At the close of a short business session a most delicious luncheon was served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs Williams and Miss .tone As the refreshments exceeded the amount stipulated in the by laws, the regular fine was imposed. Fpon their departure the quests pronounced Mrs Somerville -an admirable hostess. Those enjoying the afternoon were Madams Boyer, Couch. Drysdale, Glen. Yerger. Eayrs. Heyman Shaw. Stone. Grose Bune, Welch, Williams and Miss Stone. Home Culture Club Mrs Charles Hartley, 101S Wash Ington avenue, was hostess to the Home Culture club Thursday, April 4, with Mrs Hartley's mother as guest. The the close of the business sea sion an interesting program on Modern Mod-ern Art was given. Mrs. Beauverd read a carefully prepared paper nn European Euro-pean Art and Mrs H C. Johnson gave an interesting talk on English Art. The club members will meet at the Red I ro rooms Thursday, April 11. 1916 Five Hundred Club. The ladies of the 1916 Five Hundred Club met at the home of Mrs S. H. Furniss, 555 Seventeenth street, last, Thursday evening and several games of cards were played. Mrs. Thomas I Hanley, Mrs. William Shipley and Mrs Gordon, a visiting member from ! Rawlins, Wyo , taking the honors. Mrs. McGaw was also a visiting member for the evening loiter the hostess I served a nicely prepared luncheon. j twelve members of the club and the two visiting ladies participating. Mr.-Furniss' Mr.-Furniss' home was very attractive for' the occasion with bouquets of pink and ( white carnations arranged in vases on j the dining table and throughout the rooms. The Hub's next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Addle Fellows, on Poplar avenue, Thursday, Apnl 18. Five Hundred Knitting Club. Mrs. H. H. Spencer was hostess to1 the ladies of the Five Hundred Knit ting club last Tuesday afternoon at the Maids' end Matrons' club rooms. The ladles enjoyed social chat over the knitting needles, which they plied swiftly, and about 5 o'clock refreshments refresh-ments were served. A few played cards. Child Culture Club. Mrs. S S Smith. Mrs. Chris Fly-gare Fly-gare and Mrs. J. T. Lynch were hos tesses to the Child Culture club ladies at the regular meeting held last Thursday afternoon in the Berthana. Dr. White, a local dentist, was present to give the ladies a short talk on. "Care of the Teeth With the Mother as Diagnostician." Dr. White's talk was very interesting and a subject to be studied by the mothers if ihey wish to have their children healthy Mrs. S. P. Dobbs, a member of the Four-Minute Four-Minute club, gave a short talk along patriotic lines which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone Current events were given by Mrs. Archie Bowman, after which Mr Leslie Saville, the well known Ogden baritone, sang "Captain of His Soul" and "Silent Night" Both selections were exceptionally excep-tionally well rendered Miss Cleoni Rich, whose violin music is always appreciated for Its exquisite sweetness, sweet-ness, gave a delightful number, accompanied ac-companied by Miss Alberta Wright The club's next meeting will be held in two weeks with Mrs. King, Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. J V. Eldredge. Jr., as hostesses. This will be "Utah" day and an appropriate program will be given. Royal Purple Club. Members of the Royal Purple club were the guests of Mrs. Ella Jones, 13182 Washington avenue, last Monday-evening Monday-evening at 8 o'clock. Twenty five of the lad us were present and during ihe evening enjoyed several games of high five, Mrs Wadman Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Williams receiving the coveted honors. Mrs. Jones served a delicious buffet luncheon before the guests departed de-parted for their home.'. OGDEN CIRCLE OF CHAUTAUQUA. The members of the Ogden Chautauqua Chau-tauqua Circle will meet next Monday when th y will take up the bouk ' Ho to Live." The member-, expeel to complete com-plete this book before the opening of the Chautauqua. This is one ot th most interesting of the several books taken in the course this last season and in order to complete it all mem bers are asked to be present on Monday. Mon-day. Mr- D. L. Madsen was hostess to the members of the Utopia club last Wednesday afternoon. The meeting was especially enjoyable as Miss Bessie Bes-sie Peterson a pupil of Miss Minnie Moore Brown, was present as a guest of Hie club and she gave two exceptionally excep-tionally fine readings. Following the program the annual election was held and Mrs. Albert Scowcroft was selected se-lected as president, while Mra. John Reeve was chosen as secretary. The new officers succeeded Mrs E. X. The Red Cross Cnit of the Woodcraft Wood-craft Circle No. 581 met yesterday with Mrs Frances Huss, 2158 -Adams avenue and devoted the time to Red Cross sewing and knitting. The O elub of the Ogden high school gave the last of its series of dancing parties last Monday eevning in the Berthana and Miss Lillian Thatcher's orchestra gave the musical musi-cal program for the evening. About 100 high school students and members mem-bers of the club were presenl St. Joseph's Red Cross Auxiliary. The Red Cross Auxiliary of St. Joseph's church met in the rooms in the Lewis buildinc last Tuesday afternoon after-noon and devoted the time to the sewing of garments for the Red Cross. Federated W. C. T. U. The Federated w C. T. U. of Ogden met at the home of Mrs J W. Welsh. 5003 Grant avenue last Wednesday afternoon at 2 '30 o'clock and a program pro-gram of interesting readings was given The program was of etspedal interest to the young people and a number were present.
