Show EIGHT PHBS 1 TAKEN T8 MP HI FT, Q01LSS Six prisoners were blocked in the Fort Douglas guard house yesterdsy after having been taken there from the Weber county jail, where they were confined under suspicion of being draft evaders. They are George Fish, registered at Medfo'ld, Okla.; Emil Kurcher, registered at ML Pleasant, Mich.; Fred B. Rockwell, registered at Providence, R. I., all of whom received re-ceived notice to appear for examination examina-tion but failed to do so; Joe Eeglcy, registered at Elk, Cal., notified to ap pear but refused; Joe Stemich, registered regis-tered at Hodgkins, Kan., and Arthur Graf, registered in the federal prison at Fort Leavenworth. Two more prisoners were taken to Fort Douglas today on the same charge. They are Charles Relchort, a German, and James Hicks. Hicks claimed to have registered at Kansas City, Mo., but did not put in an appearance appear-ance for duty." nn |
