Show JAPANESE DIN IS ROBBED 01 TWO . MASKED MEN Mrs.- R. Nanba, Japanese, was held up last night by two masked men, as the Japanese woman was returning from the Rex theatre to her home in the rear of a Japanese pool room. 275 Twenty-fourth street. The robbers obtained about $15 in paper money. Mrs. Nanba was so excited when the police arrived that she was unable to give a good description of the men who were masked. The only information informa-tion she could give was that one was tall and one was short It Is thought that the men had followed fol-lowed the women from the Rex theatre, the-atre, where tho Japanese had been celebrating cel-ebrating a Japanese holiday for the past two days. The mon evidently ex- j pectcd that tho proceeds of the evening's eve-ning's performance were in the possession pos-session of the woman, as she was treasuror of the ovont. Both tho sheriffs and the police re-: sponded to the call of the excited wo- j man but neither department has beeni able to locate the holdups. j |
