Show SEW EIS TO BE PROTECTED Servant girls and other female employes em-ployes engaged by private parties or others in Utah are to be protected from imposition in the matter of hours which they are compelled to work. Tho state industrial commission yesterday issued the following notice, which is a precursor of prosecution in case of j further infraction of the nine-hour law : "Some employers seem to be under the impression that owing to the scarcity of labor at this particular) time they are justified in working their female help overtime. Tho commission com-mission feels that such a position is not justified. While we recognize there- is a provision for emergency cases, we feel that those cases are ex-J tremely rare at this time, and there- fore respectfully request any and all 1 who may be violating this law to im-J mediately desist, thereby saving fur- ther trouble in the premises." |
