Show MM. SIMPSON FINED SIM 8! JUDGE OF COURT William Simpson of West Weber, was found guilty of tho sale of intoxicating intoxi-cating liquors, in police court this morning. Simpson admitted that he had sold at least ono case of whisky containing 24 pints. He stattd that he had paid 530 a case for the liquor, and had visited Evanston, Wyo., since the state went dry. County Attorney Farr suggested that tho man pay a fine of at least the amount of his profits from the sale of the whiskey, but Simpson stated that ho had made no money on the transaction trans-action because enough of the whisky had been consumed for personal uses to absorb the profits. The court was unable to fine him on this basis as no one could determine the man's capacity capa-city since buying tho liquor. Judge George L. Barker fixed tho fine at 150 or 90 days in tho county jail. |
