Show MRS. PIDD TO FACE GRAVE ACCUSATION CAMP LEWIS, Wash.. Dec. 26.--j Information charging Mrs. Pidd, wife of George Pidd, member of the Forty-fourth Forty-fourth infantry at Camp Lewis and a resident of Salt Lake, with being an accomplice of her husband in his assault as-sault on Lawrence Berquist, army camp bus driver, Thursday night, will be filed by Prosecuting Attorney Re-mann Re-mann off Pierce county, it was announced an-nounced today. Pidd 16 held by the' military authorities authori-ties and will appear before court martial mar-tial at Camp Lewis tomorrow morning. morn-ing. He said he had struck the man over the head with an iron pipe after his wife had taunted him and said that he did not have the nerve to kill a man. Mrs. Pidd denied this story on her arrival here from Portland, where she was arrested, and It is now said that Pidd admits that his first story was not true. Mrs. Pidd Is about eighteen years old. Pidd is twenty-one. Both refused re-fused to be Interviewed tonight. Pidd's victim is said to be slightly better, but his chance for recovery is considered consid-ered slim. If Berquist should die and Pidd were found guilty by court martial mar-tial he would face death sentence. oo |
