Show COfWICT ESCAPES FROM STATE PRISON Suffering from an incurable malady, Archie Lattell, convict at tho slate prison, was given work outside tho walls to Improve his health. Ho took advantage of tho lack of vigilance on tho part of hi? guards and escaped Into near-by cover. He had not been apprehended ap-prehended last nighL Lattell was digging a ditch outside tho prison walls and no special guard was placed over him. The guard on the wall did not see his break for liberty lib-erty until it was too late to fire. The fugitive was given an indeterminate sentence by the third district court of Salt Lake county on January 31, 1917, j for robbery'- Ho is described as a waiter by trade; a native of Georgia; 5 feet and 7Vi inches in height; weighs 1J5 pounds; gray eyes; brown hair; i swarthy complexion; unoven teeth; wears a number 7 hat and shoe. The usual reward for his capture is offered. |
