GROCERY STORES AID MEAT MARKETS TO CLOSE AT 8 All grocery stores and meat markets of Ogden will closo at 8 o'clock next Saturday evening, and will follow this rule in the future. The action of tho storo keepers has resulted from the work of a committee of tho Retail Merchants' association, headed by W. A. James and Fred E. Williams. This committee has been working for several days in securing signatures to an agreement and announced an-nounced this morning that the canvass of grocery stores and meat markets had been complete. Heretofore these stores have closed as late as 9:30 o'clock. The committee will endeavor to secure se-cure a similar agreement from all dry goods, clothing, furniture and hardware hard-ware stores, feeling that tho move is a step toward conservation of both time and energy, for employers and for ' employes.
