Show DRUGGISTS 1UST BE MOST CAREFUL UNDER PROHJTIOI Vital parts of the prohibition law affecting druggists are outlined in a bulletin issued by the Utah state board of pharmacy. Druggists are advised as follows: Read thoroughly rules and regulations regula-tions issued by the prohibition bureau, and also the prohibition law. Ignorance 'will not excuse you from punishment. Keep no liquor of any kind except alcohol al-cohol on the promises. Keep alcohol always in the original container until sold or used. Alcohol can only be purchased by permit issued by justice of the peace. Alcohol can only be sold on permit issued by justice of tho peace. A retailer is a druggist buying alcohol alco-hol in less than fivo gallons and it cannot be resold. Rule 40. A wholesaler is a druggist buying alcohol in more than five gallons and can resell it. Rulo 31 to 39. File a sworn statement of all alcohol alco-hol on hand August 1 with attorney general. Each succeeding month file a sworn statement of all alcohol on hand, amount used, amount bought. All above records to bo kept on blanks furnished by the attorney general. gen-eral. Get them. Fill no prescriptions containing more than four ounces of alcohol in combination. Prescriptions of this kind can be refilled only once in seven sev-en days. Do not sell to any person whom you know is using it as a beverage any patent medicine or preparations that contains a large percentage of alcohol. alco-hol. The same medicine may be sold if used legitimately. Any druggist if convicted under tho prohibition law will forfoit his pharmacist phar-macist license for one year and fined and imprisoned. For the second offense of-fense it will be two years forfeit with fine and imprisonment. If a proprietor propri-etor he will not be able to continue business for one year. Do not attempt to sell alcohol, nothing noth-ing else allowed, until you have obtained ob-tained a government revenue licenso and are fully familiar with the rules thereof. oo |
