Show On-rushing Flames Men- H ace Foresters From H Three Sides. H HIGH WIND RAGING I Men Being Dispatched to H Western Montana as H Fast as Possible. I MISSOULA. Mont., Aug. 29. With an onrushing wall of flames menacing lfl them from three sides, a force of sev-oral sev-oral hundred men was waging a des-pcrate des-pcrate struggle today against the big forest fires in tho vicinity of Lolo Hot Springs, in western Montana. The fires increased in volume last night. fM Trenches have been dug for, many miles, but these will be but of little avail, it was said, against high winds. Three hundred men were fighting fires along Randolph creek and it was expected that this fire soon would bo under control. The forest fire situa-tion, situa-tion, according to District Forester Rutlcdge, outside of the Lolo Hot Springs and Randolph creek fires, was generally quiet. No new fires were reported today but men were being dispatched as fast as possible to Lolo Hot Springs, Randolph creek and Seeley lake.
