Show UTAH ROADS ARE HARE TEST FOR ALL AUTO MAKES Utah is the "motor car test su- ffl prome" in the opinion of A. T. Tours-sen, Tours-sen, manager of Randall-Dodd Auto ra company, Ltd. fe Its mountain roads offer grades un-known un-known to the eastern driver. Its aver- 't age altitude is nearly a mile above". sea level. Hardly a week goes by . ;ga that the motor car owner does not j SS make a trip into the mountains. A large percentage of owners reside in jH mountain towns and drive there all of the time. In many sections It is hard to find a level road as long as a city block. In many sections distances between be-tween garages is a matter of a hundred hun-dred miles or so. That is why Mr. Tourssen declares a pleasure car or motor truck must be the acme of construction in every sense of 'the word to meet with the road requirements In Utah. Power Is necessary but just as important is strength of construction. "In Utah," Mr. Tourssen declared, "a car is only as good as Its weakest point. "In the handling of automobiles throughout Utah, Idaho and Wyo ming," Mr. Tourssen continued," we have found that owners expect more of their cars than would be required under ordinary conditions. For instance in-stance our salesmen are convinced that the only reason why G. M. C. trucks have proved so popular is because be-cause they have stood the test. Our Oldsmbiles and Buicks have likewise stood the test and nothing is better evidence of this than the large number of Buicks now in stage service throughout these states." |
