Show FORGE RELEASED ' FROM PENITENTIARY Chicago. July 26. After serving nearly eight years for the forgery of real estate mortgages amounting to $1,600,000 Peter Van Vlisslngen was no longer a prisoner today. He walked walk-ed out of the Illinois penitentiary at Joliet last night a free man. He confessed con-fessed to the forgeries in November 1908 and was sentenced to an Indeterminate Inde-terminate term of from one to fourteen four-teen years. He served exactly seven years and eight months, good behaviour earning him the early release. |
