The building I -will have a frontago of 42 feet. It will I he 134 feet long. Tho cost wilt ap- I! proximate $45,000. I; Excavation work, preliminary to I construction on the principal part of I the structure, will begin as soon as I the contract is awarded. Charles Em- I pey, manager, states it Is possible the I construction work will begin within I the next two -weeks I The new building will form an addi- I lion to tho present establishment and I the two will have a frontage of 100 feet. Soda Fountain Business. The soda fountain business will con-; con-; stituto .a department separate from others of the company and will he In charge of H. T. Gee, who is an expert In the business, being both a designer and builder of soda fountains. Recently Re-cently Mr. Gee, as tho representative of the Ogden company, installed a fountain at Pocatollo, which is hold to be the finest in the Gem state. The fountain cost 2,500. The company is now preparing to install a new fountain in tho drug store at Twenty-fifth street and Washington Wash-ington avenue, which was recently taken over by Drow Marshall and asso- ( ciates. Five carloads of fountains will bo placed In stock, in tho new building as soon as it is ready for occupancy, t The company also will add to its stock all kinds of drug store fixtures as well as Increase the stock of heavy chemicals. The company now Is surpassing any other wholesale drug concern In the Intermountaln section in tho heavy i chemical business. Tho company recently re- J ceived a shipment of 5 carloads ot the products of the J Hungerford Smith t company, of which they are exclusive agents, nnd which manufactures a pro- duct that Is recognized as standard all over the country. Mr. Palmer, sales-manager sales-manager for the Hungerford company, on a recent visit to the city, made the statement that the Ogden Wholesale Whole-sale Drug concern purchased more 1 Hungerford supplies than nny other i patrons of the company in the United -States. Mr Empey retributes the growth of tho business of the Ogden Wholesale i Drug Co. to an efficiency system, which, he declares, is the outgrowth of perfect harmony prevailing among i employees, many of whom are high- j priced workers. ' "The company finds," Mr. Empey ( continued, "that a hundred-dollar man ; is worth a hundred dollars and that an oven higher priced men is worth the amount of his hire.
