Show NEARLY 1 EMPLOYED IN CI FACTORY IN OGDEN t W. W. Hodgson, assistant district J superintendent for the American Can V' company, who has been in Ogden a number of days, looking after the affairs af-fairs of the company, was joined today to-day by his wife, and tomorrow the will proceed to San Francisco. Mr. Hodgson is well pleased with the company's new can factory' In Ogden, and he predicts success for the enterprise. The factory Is now employing 195 people, making cans, the little milk cans running into freight cars and stock rooms at the rate of about three carloads a day. There are three lines now in operation, opera-tion, and Superintendent J. G Leonard Leon-ard states that the fourth line will be started the first of next week A fifth line will be constructed in the factory next month. It is expected that as high as 250 people will he working in the factory in the busy season . ,. Running full capacity, the four line? will produce in the neighborhood of ',50 000 cans a day. The capacity of the" freight cars used in shipping the product Is about 115.000 cans each. oo |
