Show Brigham City Social Notes j (Special to the Standard.) . Brigham City, Oct. 7. The Ladies' Aid of the Presbyterian church met Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Orson Hudson at the regular monthly month-ly meeting of the club. After the disposition dis-position of tho regular business of the meeting the afternoon was pleasantly pleas-antly spent in a social way. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served and musical numbers num-bers were rendered by the guests. Present were Mesdames Orson Hudson, Hud-son, Caroline Mabee, C. R. Mabee, Mrs. Wolcott, E. A. Loughney, Amanda Aman-da Campbell, Fred Hultquist, W. A. Miller, A. G. Frank, W. I. Hargis, Harold Heaton, Miss Loughney and Miss Myrtle Perkins. State fair and conference in Salt Lake lured many Brlghamltes to the state capital, and during the week several hundred people visited Salt Lake and as a result social affairs were more or less neglected. Miss Maud Forsgren returned Sunday Sun-day from a visit to her mother, who is spending the fall In San Diego, Cal., visiting her daughter, Mrs. D. Ellasen. Mr. and Mrs.v Martin Ensign are visiting their daughters, Mrs. Paul Nelson and Esta Ensign in Berkeley, Cal. Later they will go to Los An geles. Mrs. A. C. Cooley, who spent the summer in Brigham, visiting her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Jensen, left Sunday for Mexico, where she will join her husband, and where they will make their home. Mrs. R. T. Willey spent the week In Ogden and Salt Lake visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Hannah Bone of Lehi is spending spend-ing the week in this city, the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwards. Mrs. O. Parsons spent part of tho week in Salt Lake, visiting relatives. The musical given by the Civic Improvement Im-provement club in the Third ward chapel, Tuesday evening, -R-as well ak tended and proved to be a thorough success. Miss Mary Woodland of Logan spent Sunday In Brigham visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Lavor Jensen of Logan Lo-gan and Mr.. and Mrs. Vernon Jensen of Logan spent part of the week in this city visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. David Poulson of Ephraim have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Jensen for a week. Mrs. Pharaldo Jensen entertained Wednesday evening. The marriage of Miss Dorothy Wright of Richfield and Mr. LeRoy B. Young of this city, took place in the Salt Lake temple Wednesday. The bride, whose home Is in Richfield, has spent a great deal of time In this city, being a sister of Mrs. Dr. D. W. Henderson. She has a host of friends in this city, being an actlvo member of the two leading clubs, the Civic Improvement and tho Kindergarten clubs. Mr. Young Is one of tho most prominent young men of this city and a practicing attorney. Mrs. J. P. Jacohsen and daughter, Vera, visited friends in Ogden several days during the week. Roy. J l. Meffert returned Tuesday to his home in Kansas City, after spending the summer visiting his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Meffert, of this city. Mesdames Ella Childs, R. L. Wright ' and Lorenzo Jensen of Ogden visited in Brigham Wednesday. Mrs. Wlllard Keith of Canada, with her baby, is spending a couple of weeks in Brigham visiting relatives. Thoy will be joined here by Mr. Keith, and together will leave for the Hawaiian Ha-waiian Islands, where they will do missionary work. Mrs. Keith was formerly Miss Pearl Frodsham of this j r Mrs. T. J. Maddock of Ogden spent ' several days of the week visiting her daughter, Mrs. O. C. Jacobsen 0f this ! . city. ' ( Miss Mnttie West, daughter of Mr. I and Mrs. Joseph A.
