Show FRUIT GROWERS ARE SUING FOR U0 Brlgham City. Oct. S. Depositions in the case of the Brigham City Fruit Growers' association versus the Goo. H. Zollman Produce company of St. Louis were taken in this city during the week by Attorney Frank H. Has-klns Has-klns of St Louis, representing the Zollman company, in Judge H. M. Fig-gins' Fig-gins' court. The case involves $30,-000, $30,-000, tho amount sought by tho Fruit Growers association as damages for lBB 01 118 cars of Peaches in 1914 which were permitted to remain on the sidetracks in St Louis after the company had refused to accept the shipments on the bills of lading and tne official report of the company's inspector which proved that the fruit i had left Brlgham In first-class order. I E. M. Patterson of Twin Falls was one of the witnesses examined. He was the inspector for tho Zollman company who O. K.'d every shipment before it left the railroad yards In this city. B. C. Call represented the association. as-sociation. Attorney Kasklns will take depositions from the railroad com. pany in Salt Lake and then return to St Louis to resume the case In the federal court. - - no . |
