The child, Tvhlle near the lower end of the reservoir leaned over the railing and fell into the water at a point near the outlet, where the water was romething like twenty feet deep, aud the ouclion strong. Mr. Glade leaped in and dived several sev-eral times in a futile effort to rescue his son. He then notified the police department, being compelled to run to the city because ne could find no telephone in the vicinity. The police po-lice department received the call at 4:25 o'cioek yesterday afternoon. Officers Of-ficers Payne, Moore, Wire, St. John, Larson and Lange responded. |
