Show KICK BY HORSE IS FATAL TO JEPPSON Brigham City, April 22 One of the saddest deaths that have occurred in l this city for a long time occurred at I the Brigham hospital at 10 o'clock this morning, when Harvey Jeppson of Bear Rher City died from Injuries jn-flicted jn-flicted by a fractious horse yesterday. Mr. Jeppson had just returned to his home yesterday after a hurried trip to Brigham, when he brought a brother to this city to catch a train When he had unhitched his team he led the horses into the stable and as he was passing behind another animal In the stable the horse attempted to kick one of the horses he was leading. Missing its mark, young Jeppson received re-ceived the full blow from the animal's kick right in the pit of his stomach Ho fell to the ground unconscious and remained there fully twenty minuter before recovering. Then he got up and was able to make hi6 way out of the stable, only to fall in an uncon. scious condition a second time. Being alone at home there was no one near to aid him, but some Japs who are employed on the Jeppson farm saw him fall outside the barn and rushed to his assistance Drs Brown and Henderson of this ci,ty were notified at once and made a hurried trip to Bear River City to bring Jeppson to the hospital here His injuiies were soon determined to be serious and little hope was held for him, although he rested well during dur-ing the night This morning a change for the worse set in and Mr. Jeppson asked to have his friends and relatives notified His parents are both In the Lost River country, Idaho but other relatives reached his bedside before he died and he was able to converse with them qulto freely until the very last He was engaged to be married to Miss Ethel Stander of Bear River. Mr Jeppson. having recently return, ed from a foreign mission 'was an. pointed second counselor to Bishop M. P.
