Conferences seeking to establish peace between the Federal league and organized taseball were to be continued here today, according to published reports, although parties to the conference declined de-clined to say whether a meeting had been held or what progress towards peace had been made Negotiations for peace were begun at a meeting yesterday, according to the Chicago Herald, which says that B. B. Johnson, president of the American Amer-ican league. Phil Ball, owner of the St. Louts Federals; Robert L Hedges, owner of the St Louis Americans, and Judgo George H Williams of St Louis, one of the attorneys for organized organ-ized baseball, met and discussed peace proposals. The report also says that James A. Gilmore, president of the Federal league, was in long distance conference confer-ence with President E. W. Robertson of the. Buffalo club, and President Robert B Ward of the Brooklyn club, both members of the Federal league executive committee. Club Offers Made.
