Show FHIQIiS DESTROYED BY FIRE Farm buildings, machinery, hay and live stock, valued at 52500 on thr Charles Taylor farm at Poplar, Weber We-ber countv was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon. The loss Is partially par-tially covered by insurance, a large crowd of men and boys, who were participating par-ticipating in tho Fourth of July celebration cele-bration at Plain City, nearly three miles away. learned of the blaze and rushed to it in automobiles and buggies, bug-gies, hut arrived too late to save much of the property. The bam, with -10 tons of hay that were stored In it. tho chicken coops, i buggy sheds and stables were completely com-pletely destroyed, together with two i sets of harness, several pieces of farm machinery, a buggy and other vehi- cles. Seventy chickens and five pigs were also burned. The horses, a wagon and a cutter were saved. The Taylor residence also caught on fire several times, but through quick effort ef-fort ou the part of volunteer fire fighters, fight-ers, was saved. |
