RESERVOIR WILL BE; CONSTRUCTED Br COMPANY Recently the Davis & Weber Coun- I lies Canal company voted bonds in the sum of $150,000. for the enlargement enlarge-ment of its reservoir on East Canyon creek of the Weber river, and, within a short time after that, placed the bonds with eastern financiers. It is expected that the money for the improvements im-provements will be available in a short time. Secretary J C Nyc of ihe company states that as soon as final negotiations negotia-tions respecting the bond issue shall have been concluded, contracts for the new dam will be awarded. It 's planned by the board of directors to build the dam this season, with a view to doubling the water output next ear The engineers are to build an entirely en-tirely new dam about 200 feet below the present one which, It is said, will ' double the capacity of the reservoir. The new dam will be considerably higher than the old one. The water supply will be increased from about 14.000-acre feet to nearly 26,000-acre feet. The old dam will not be removed as it will add strength to the new dam. The old dam has been in a leaking condition.
