Show OGDEN ELKS TAKE DAI TO DBM Brigham City was visited last night by more than 100 Ogden Elks, who took a brass band with them to assist in "drumming" up interest In the annual an-nual outing of lodge No. 719 to be held at the Utah Hot Springs Tuesday, Tues-day, August 10. The boosters left Ogden Og-den on a special Ogden, Logan & Idaho electric train at 7:30 p. m. and arriving in the Boxelder county metropolis me-tropolis about an hour later, dismounted dis-mounted and paraded tho business section of the city. A large portion of the local population popu-lation turned out to see the parade and to hear the concerts that were given by the band at each atreet Intersection In-tersection and the Elks got In some strong advertising. After tho parade and concerts were concluded, the Elks and a large crowd of Brigham City people adjourned to the Academy Acad-emy and danced until midnight, at which hour the Ogden people left for home on the special. Tonight the Elks will parade the business district of Ogden and will present an interesting series of "stunts " The band which assisted them last night will also participate in the parade tonight and the whole affair promises to bo well worth witnessing. wit-nessing. The members of the lodge are expected to be at the Elks' homo on Grant avenue at S o'clock to don their uniforms for the parade, which will begin as soon after that hour as possible. nn |
