Show ELECTION HELD IN MILWAUKEE Three Women Nominated for Places on Milwaukee School Board Socialist Leads Field. Milwaukee, Wis., March 24 Complete Com-plete figures from yesterday's primary election In Milwaukee show that three women were nominated as candidate can-didate of the Milwaukee school board. Mrs. Meta Berger. wife of former Congressman Victor L. Berger, Social-Democrat, Social-Democrat, led the field with 17,352 votes or 8 plurality of nearly 4000 over her nearest competitor. Miss E H Thomas, Social-Democrat and Mrs. lane P, Rogers, non-partisan, were the other women to be nominated Out of ten nominees, five are Social-Democrat candidats. Only branch three of the circuit court was a Social-Democrat candidate candi-date eliminated. In branches 2 6 and 7 of the civil court, Social-Democratic candidates re ceived the highest individual vote At the election on April 6 five members mem-bers of the school board will "be chosen from the ten nominees and one judge in each of four courts will be elected, Lhe choice to lie between two nominees for each office Yesterday's vote was less than a third of the registration and comparatively com-paratively few women voted. |
