Show MILITIA ENCAMPS NEAR CLIFTON One Hundred Men Take Strategic Position Commanding Command-ing Railway and Road. Clifton. Ariz . Oct 8. -One hundred militiamen from Phoenix and Tucson arrived about noon and oncamped at a strategic point a mile from the town, commanding the railway and road to the mining camps. Guy Miller, organizer for the Western West-ern Federation of Minors, left for Phoenix today with I. Gutierrez de Lara, a Mexican Socialist worker, to confer with Governor Hunt They were accompanied as far as Ducau, Ariz., by a deputy sheriff. Miller said the summons came from Charles II. Moyer, president of the Western Federation of Miners. It was said Governor Hunt desired to confer with the union leaders both regarding the continued preservation of peace in the conduct of the strike and plan for Its settlement Dynamite In Vacant Lot.
